1960 Hoffman (Lil Hoffy). Power Amp (drivers?) El84/6BQ5. There is no Silk Screen at all. The only markings are on the bottom. X3 X9A on one, and X3 X8K on the other. Any ideas?

Tried the freezer trick? Perhaps the markings were all wiped off

Yes I did. Freezer, breath, magnifying glass. There is nonthing except the numbers on the bottom. The rectifier has some numbers. see photo.

Does it have seams on the top of the bottle?

Rectifier is GE - the 188 marking is their EIA code.

rX3 - EL84

X8K - Sittard Netherlands (IIRC) 1958, 12th month

X9A - 1959, 1st month

Original outputs would be my guess. D-getters most likely too...

Look for the etched codes on the 12AX7. First set of three will be the code for ECC83
Next three will be the plant and date codes

As for the rectumfrier 188 - GE ,21 will prolly be the plant number

59-43 - 1959, 43rd week
