Tunes at work: what gear are you running?

I work in the maintenance department at my plant. Most days, I spend several hours in front of a computer monitor, sourcing parts, creating documentation, scheduling maintenance work, etc. Even though I love my work and geeking around with technology, it can drag on sometimes.

Well, I had this cool Rebel cabinet sitting in the corner of my kitchen at home, totally underutilized. It is a Klipsch design, loaded with University and EV drivers. It is too nice to put in the garage, and since it is a mono cabinet, I decided that it would work very well for background music at work. Here it is, with a very nice Yamaha CR-450 on top. I am currently listening to NPR - it already has made a difference. I can also plug in tunes from my mp3 player, or the sound card from the computer. Very convenient! I think I have something like $50 into the system.

What are you running at work?

Sorry for the poor picture. My cell phone takes bad pictures inside.
I'm a foreign language teacher, and for me, it is the soundbar on my smart-board. I routinely play some YouTube videos during my planning period. :D

Currently, this stack of junk. Technics ST-K50 tuner and SL-PD687 CD changer with an NAD 314 integrated. Speakers are AR-14 with Radio Shack woofers.

Later today I'll swap the Allied 495 back in for the tuner and the integrated. I fixed it yesterday with some used output transistors and a bias pot stolen out of another parts donor. I did give it some fresh thermal grease on the other channel too, but the output transistors are mismatched side to side. Not my preferred way of fixing things but this is not exactly a critical application.

Electrician doing mostly custom homes. We’re out in the boonies so pretty much have the site to ourselves most of the times. I run an Ayima 03 into a homemade box. Life’s to short for crappy sounding worksite tunes
