Unxepected Free JBL score !!!!!!

I said in the original post that i had never had any JBL speakers before......

My best friend back in the UK just read this and phoned me.........

I forgot about the Control Ones i had at some point in the late 80's early 90's......OK Barry ?

Metric No Worky...

No woofer pop-out shots until i find my hex keys, and i bet i only have metric ones.........

Doh !

1/8" for the woofer, nothing metric comes close.
5/64" for the mid, a 2mm MIGHT work, but it's loose.
3/32" for the tweeter, a 3mm almost fits, so if yours is worn it might fit. (Yes the mids take a smaller wrench than the tweets, I guess whoever spec'ed the screws thought that 5/64" was bigger than 3/32".)

The three screws on the tweeter were the easy part on MY free L-110's.
The gasket was super sticky and I had to push from inside the cabinet to get it to break loose.

Make sure you get the exact fit foams, generic will NOT fit, nor trim to fit, BTDT. I got mine from Rick Cobb, fit and function as original.

Thanks for that useful info.....the foams are L 110 specific and are coming from a well used trusted source......

Even the grills are in decent shape........

Badges as well.........

If you can carry them with one hand from here you can have em' !!!

I picked up a pair of L110s and a pair of Klipsh KG5.5's at a garage sale on Saturday for $120. The surrounds on the L110s are shot and the cone on one is also screwed up. So actually all I need is one of your woofers. I'll be right there. :D

You scored big time on those you found. Way to go!!! :thmbsp:
