Using Latex Cement for KLH Cloth Surround Doping

Oh well, brand new bottle of Aquaplas and Toluene waiting in the basement... but it's now deleterious? Fortunately, not applied yet! I guess that I am better applying nothing on my two sets of KLH's 17?
Disclaimer: I haven’t tried this. Applying nothing is fine, and certainly the safest choice.

What I suspect might be worth a shot if you absolutely cannot get Roy’s compound, would be to lightly *dab*—not wipe—a small amount of toluene on the surrounds in order to possibly soften/re-wet what is there. Again, emphasis on light, you wouldn’t want to remove anything. I theorize that this could close up some pores in the old compound and regain a bit of bass response.
