Value of Technics SL-1360 TT?

What would be a good price to pay for this used and in working condition? What should I look for before committing to purchase? Any known persistent issues on this one?

The value will depend a lot on the physical condition/appearance of the deck and the dust cover, and if it comes with a cartridge with a good stylus (and which cartridge). At the very minimum ensure it comes with a headshell with all wires intact, or budget about $25 more to buy a replacement. Make sure there is no play in the tonearm bearings. Ideally it should be demoed first. Check where the signal cables enter the cabinet in the rear, look for fraying. They're replaceable but it's not simply a case of unplugging old cables and plugging in new ones. Ensure that the platter can maintain the correct speed, and makes no noise when it turns.

I'm not familiar with this particular turntable, but Technics direct drive turntables in general are very reliable. If it's in good condition and it works now, odds are it will continue to work for a long time.

It appears that is a "changer" type of table.
See if the 33 record stacking spindle, as well as the 45 stacking spindles are included.
Might not be what you need or want (stacking/changing) functions, but having the spindles and knowing the mechanism works might help if you decide to send it down the road in the future.
