Vintage GE electron tube numeric date codes?

Big Bill

Summertime Rolls.....
Can anyone tell me what this GE date code translates to? It is as follows: 5-15

I'd also like to find the entire table of the vintage date codes as well.

Thanks in advance, Bill!:thmbsp:

5 is the plant code, usually that's followed by a year (65 or such) then the week, ie: the 15th week.

Hello Celt and thanks for posting.:thmbsp:

The codes printed on the tube are as follows:

5-15

188-20

From what I've been able to gather, the 188 portion designates GE as the manufacturer and the 20 identifies it as being manufactured in the Schenectady, NY. plant. If this is the case the it stands to reason that the 5-15 code is strictly the date code wouldn't it?
