Vintage Sennheiser SEAS speakers

Anyone ever seen SEAS speakers by Sennheiser? Model SE 2. Dual 8" woofer and SEAS dome tweet.

Can't find anything online about them. I do like the sound of the SEAS tweeter in my Boston A series 1's.

Wow those must sound great. The 8" looks a lot like the blackcone SEAS with a more pliant surround.
If you flip one of those they are mirrored, but exact copies nonetheless.

I saw those. Look like Dynaco speakers to me. Not sure where the Sennheiser came from. There is a small badge in the photo. But remind me of the a50 but smaller cabinet.

Not a bad buy if they are comparable. I don't have the asking tho...

Edit, badge is on the other photo that was in the ad. Not here...

I saw those too. I would have bought them but I already have Dynaco drivers waiting for a project. I'm pretty sure that's the same tweeter used in the A25, A10, A50, etc. The woofers are probably 8" variants on the A50 10" units, 16 ohm in parallel. I owned A50s long ago as part of my first system, wish I still had them. I bet they sound nice if in good condition.

Just piling on to an old thread...

I don't know how their cooperation with Seas came about, but Sennheiser was Seas' distributor in the US for a brief period, according to this brochure. These Sennheiser-branded speakers are rather rare, and I've never seen other similar models to indicate that they were part of a loudspeaker range. I'm therefore guessing that the project had to be relatively short-lived.

The brochure provides a year, as well as a peek at the specifications for the SE2. The speakers themselves are basically a version of Seas' DIY kit Type 35 from the same period, which I owned myself some time ago (they weren't as nice looking as this, though). The drivers are the same (Seas' 21TV-EW and H087, no doubt), and probably the crossover (D008) too. The different front baffle layout and a slightly enlarged (deeper) cabinet seem to be the only real differences. The Sony SS-3200 is another variation on the same theme.
