Vintage vs new

I've been considering buying a vintage pair of Tannoy Esher SL -25s . What would be a fair price and how do they compare to a contemporary speakers from Tannoy?

While researching them what prices have you seen?, where are you considering buying them from?

I found a pair sold for $780.00 U.S.
A friend has a pair his mother bought them and she passed away.
They have good clarity and lots of bass for a bookshelf speaker and you only need 20 watts to drive them.
I'm interested in knowing what they really sell for,a fair price and are there any new speakers out there comparable at what price?

They are not that common of a speaker so best of luck finding out "what they really sell for"
