Rick Wakeman - White Rock: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Of The Innsbruck Winter Games
(1976, A&M) Promo / NFS; Canadian pressing

I found this in my shelves filed under Y for Yes. Seems appropriate with the 2010Vancouver games started. All tracks composed arranged performed produced by Wakeman - heavy on the Moog synth and Steinway Grand.

Burt Bacharach - Hit maker! Burt Bacharach plays the Burt Bacharach hits
(1965, Kapp) Mono pressing

I think this is the first LP that Bacharach released as an artist. nice sounding mono, and of course, lots of killer Bacharach compositions.

Anthony Braxton - New York, Fall 1974
Arista AB 4032 (1975)

Recently I dug out most of my Anthony Braxton Arista albums from the mid 70's intending to play them in order of recording/release. This is the first in the series. Given the dubious WAF ratio of some of the pieces :yikes: it may take a week or two to get through them all.

Geoff & Maria Muldaur - Sweet Potatoes
(1972, Reprise) Artisan symbol in the deadwax

Many of the tracks here are electric rock/blues, w/ nice studio work with rock guitar & bass, pedal steel, trombone, clarinet, flute, harp, sax, trumpet, and with clever vocals from Geoff & Maria. very nice. This was in a public library at some point, but it must have been shelved/handled carefully because it VPI-cleaned up well, and plays great.

Ha. :D Nice. I've read that his music is experimental and dissonant; I'd like to run across a Braxton LP.
