I Posted up some info about the EMOTIVA road show coming to town. -
I'm registering now. I haven't seen any manufacturers do anything in town since Cambridge Soundworks and Tweeter were around. so Kudos to Emotiva for doing it up old school style and trying to make us into converts while serving up some grub and gear. I'll support that, and what a better way to get a demo of some of their gear.

Emotiva is Emotiva Audio Corporation They also now own Sherbourn from what I can tell. they also have a line of Pro audio monitors under emotiva Pro. and theres lots of buzz about emotiva acquiring bob carver llc

Acurus and its big brother brand Aragon was originally owned by Mondial, later acquired by Klipsch before some of the former Klipsch folks parted ways and later purchased the name (I believe that's the story).

Acurus and Aragon are now owned by Indy Audio Labs. oddly enough they are still fairly helpful with the older products despite not being the original manufacturers of those lines. They're new gear is based on what Mondial started. -- I've been a long time fan of Aragon. owned plenty of their amps along the way. and currently have a pair of their Palladium Mono blocks in my collection of randomness.

Emotiva has a fairly strong following and customer base. Since they're not pitching time shares in Florida, Listening to some gear that i'd otherwise have not access to isn't a bad way to spend some time on a Saturday. I'm there! - if you plan on attending you have to register through the event sign up link.

Well now, I've been seeing more of that girl I mentioned earlier, and today I showed her my photos of the last Frankenfest we had. Her verdict is that it looks cool and she'd love to come.

I have no idea what's going on here but I'm not questioning things.

And if you haven't been paying attention: the DQ-10s from Todd's neighbor's barn are transformed: from "barn fresh" to just "fresh".

I'll bring them if someone brings some power.

they seem to like 300w.

i'd say anywhere from 200-300 would be good.

i don't know about free range, but they will be free standing once i get the legs on.
