Is it cracked?, or can you gut it and start over?
Look it over real good for a cracked copper track or solder joint failure...
I am surprised nobody has an extra, but i can see a tendency to hoard this stuff as it becomes harder to get.

No, it's not cracked. All solders look fine. What puzzles me is that with 7vdc at the speaker terminals the relay remains closed when it should remain opened.

Hmmm. Sounds like you have two problems. amp and a p/s
Do you have 7v on the P/S Without the amp hook into the circuit???
Maybe its time to pull all the transistors and diodes, check resistor integrity and install new diodes and matched transistors and see if you can get it to adjust.
You must have a shorted transistor feeding ground to your relay. Did you pull them yet to check>

Does it click instantly when you hit the power button, or does it delay??. I'm not sure, Ron, what you have done to it so far, but this might be a candidate for the shotgun method.

Thanks for your input. Two very generous AK members have offered to look at the board or the complete receiver. The owner of the 2270 will pick up the 2270 from me over the weekend and sent it out for repair.

Sometimes its best to send it to another set of eyes. I spent a month on a 2330 amp, and sent it to an AK friend who caught a few mistakes i was missing and promptly fixed it for me.. Saved me another month worth of swearing

There are a couple of complete 2270 amp boards on the auction site at the moment.
Not inexpensive, but at least the Make an Offer option is available.
