Well, that's how a lot of us Altec guys feel and why we play with the Altec's. They are a direct descendant of Western Electric, started by WE engineers that bought the patents and remaining inventory after WE got shut out of the sound reinforcement market by the anti-trust law suit.
There's more to Altec than just great build quality and good looks. A lot of pedigree built into them.
