Don't think so. This will be a minor blip. OK so he doesn't have Kelloggs. He still has his major sponsors. Other parts of the world (especially Europe) don't get as shook up over pot as we do here.
I fully expect him to participate, and excel, in the next Olympics. This event may inspire him to greater heights, no pun intended.
But I have to say again that article, and the cop, who mentioned the possibility of criminal charges against Phelps is reflective of their ignorance, if not of its readers. Phelps never admitted to smoking dope, and though everyone knows he probably did, even if it could be proven that he did, there is no crime in having smoked the dreaded weed. It couldn't be proven, since no one can force him to take a drug test for pot.
My esteem of Michael Phelps hasn't changed. People make mistakes.
Rudy Giuliani is putting on one of those "self-help" motivation seminars all over the continent with Zig Ziegler, Michael Phelps, Colin Powell, Steve Forbes, and a few others.
I heard on the news this morning that their trip to Canada will be minus Phelps, with Martin Sheen in his place.
Seems the Canadians don't think that particular kind of "motivation" needs to be taught to their future self-starters.
