What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

Overall very good. Some the level recorded to hot or the needle was dirty on the table. The table was a Dual 1229 with a Shure M91e. Now long gone to a new home.

They were recorded on a Akai Quad deck. Forget the model now it has been gone for years. New life in the Far East.

Picked them up in a group buy.

Fixed up a Akai GX4000D to burn some tapes of my youngest Brothers band. Remembered the boxes of tapes and figured might as well..

Just finished up Moody Blues Days of Future Passed.

Seems like recordings will sound a bit different from deck to deck because of the tape head alignments. Always enjoy seeing RTR photos!

I remember a childhood friend's brother bought a new stereo system in the late '60's or early '70's, with a RTR player. He hooked it up in the living room and blasted the RTR tape of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Sounded like the whole orchestra was in the living room! Have no idea what brand of stuff that was.

View attachment 2069726 Going thru a few recorded reels and id'ing them.

Right now Canned Heat self titled.

Picked them up and of course no names on the reels. Hate this, for sometimes I do not know the names of the artist.
So far found The Guess Who, Janis, Jimi ,Steely Dan, Santana, Doors......

While I'm listening going thru the LP's and check alphabetize and or misplaced ones.

C-19 musrt keep busy things.....you know!
