A bit ago I think @KevinJS was posting some orchestral covers of rock albums....came across this one I found pretty interesting...Little Kruta covers Metallica

Metallica’s music certainly lends itself to orchestral arrangement. Don’t think I’ve seen this one. I’ll check her out when I have some wifi and decent speakers available.

Morning Speedy. Yes, looks like I’m heading there this time. Nearly made it a week or so ago but had a phone call and a slight detour (3600 miles). I could be tempted to crack a beer or two when I get there.

A few days ago I posed the question on what recordings did folks here have that they considered as having really good sound quality. This copy of I Robot that I purchased new a couple of years ago falls into that category for me. My copy is a 2017 EU reissue 180g (Vinyl is dead silent!)

I rolled in a different set of speaks, just foolin around with my little system. I played several of the usual suspects, doin the test drive. My absolute go to is still Steely Dan Gaucho. Just in a different league. The dynamics are subtly amazing... I was runnin around 12-13 watts RMS and when it would hit silence, it would bounce down UNDER 0.1 W... it would bounce down between 0 and 0.1 and then back to 12-13ish... still just a fantastic recording. Imho.
