That's what I've wondered. My mains are inherently bright and it's exacerbated with streaming. Why I'm looking forward to finishing the TT. CD's aren't bad though.

For me some CD's bother me but I think it is more due to compression by engineers that can cause issue. I worked at major bank call center for a bit after retirement and because of their financials they hired some contract workforce agents in the boondocks and their connection was VOIP. Extreme savings but the fidelity varied from call to call with the high end becoming the most intrusive.

Using VOIP (remember Magic-Jack) sparingly it would be no problem but hour after hour it will flatten the hair follicles in your inner ear over time. I lost a lot of high end frequency.

Hearing women speech can be a problem for example. But some say that maybe a blessing.

Understand the challenges. About 5 years back I invested in a set of ear plugs meant for taking the db down a notch since I decided I wanted to start frequenting more local gigs again without the head ringing associated with such environments. Have enough ear ringing to do me. Was a worth while investment.

Now if we could get past this virus so I could use them again....

I'm sure I've lost some high end, but it's more like I can hear it but it hurts at high volume. I want to turn it, gulp, down. I do have the sibilance issue with women's voices no doubt. Not in person, but playback.

Same boat, different oar. Yes, loud music and concerts early on, but 10 yrs of high speed machinery with spl over 90db, even with hearing protection, cost me the high-end.

Ya, about the same. Was a karma moment. Neighbour took their minivan over to the garage yesterday. Battery. I joked with the wife this morning that mine was probably due being the original battery.
DOH! Teach me to shut my mouth. Granted better in my driveway than say at work, 50kms from home.

About 7 years has been the max for me also. Reading everyone’s comments on this topic has me thinking that once a battery hits 7 years, it may be a good PM practice to go ahead and replace it so I can control when and where (in my driveway for sure). I have been stranded several times over the years, forced to replace a battery in a parking lot somewhere after bothering someone to come get me.

Slim Harpo wrote many many songs that have been covered by lots of well known blues and rock artist. He had his own Groove , very recognizable once you hear him.
