Marillion, to me, is 80's Genesis if Gabriel stayed and Phil left....lolWell Marillion didn't last very long. I tried. I failed. I don't really get the appeal. Files deleted.

My absolute favorite pieces from the romantic are both by Tchaikovsky. Piano concerto no.1, and The Violin concerto. He only wrote one and was considered to be so difficult it was turned down by the violinist it was dedicated to. Written in 1877, it wasn't performed until 1881.I’m always looking for classical and romantic era music on vinyl that is well done. Sometimes the record shop I work at has a decent amount of RCA Living Stereo stuff come through but to get it in VG++ condition is a little too pricey for my taste
However I’ve completely justified a 2nd press of Trout Mask Replica that’s NM for $125 so....
If you have any suggestions for ANYTHING classical/romantic I’m very interested in learning
That's probably a good comparison. I never liked Genesis either so that would explain it.Marillion, to me, is 80's Genesis if Gabriel stayed and Phil left....lol
That said, I like Marillion's Fish-era albums...

It's not for me for sure. Lots of folks here like it and they're certain that I'll like it too. I know it's supposed to be progressive and all, but it just feels a little lightweight for me. I keep expecting the singer to ask mommy for kippers for breakfast. The Marilian posting by you struck me as odd when I saw it.
Love is hands down my favourite Cult album...just a great dark vibe that had energy behind it!She Sells Sanctuary (The Howling Mix) - The Cult
I always forget how fresh and great sounding this song was in 1985. The whole Love album was actually

The first rule of classical music collecting is that if you see Deutsche Grammaphon you buy it.
