Absolutely. First time I heard Gimme Shelter it was on their 40 Licks compilation, in the early 2000's. I'd never heard it before and it was like one of those bolts of lightning that hits you. Played it through about four or five times.

I was asking myself, "Why haven't I heard this on radio, it's their best song!". Then I later found out about some of their other cuts left off the 40 Licks album, Monkey Man and Midnight Rambler etc.

Isn't it crazy to think a band can put together a 40 song comp and leave off that kind of quality?!?!
Bitch didn't even make the cut!!
That band is a machine!!

Excellent verifiable consideration, he doesn't need to Blackmore Jr. the man is his own self. Reason no matter what he does he solidifies the band. I forgot to mention his time with Kansas as well.
What a resume.
