Hey guys, Glad to be back. My brothers wife passed on at 1:21 pm yesterday after a brutal last two weeks, and a two year fight with pancreatic cancer.. It was all hands on deck for the family the last month and almost no normal day to day concerning anything since Thanksgiving. I snuck in a round of golf when I could and thankfully had this thread and you guys to bounce off and pass alot of time.
She was just 60 years old and very loved by Kelly, so Kelly was hit especially hard on top of her losing her mother just this past April.
I'm very glad to be home and hoping for peace and tranquility for all involved. My brothers doing very well, but has been on a constant vigil for two years, and frankly he seems relieved by her not suffering anymore. He hadn't slept in 3 days going into yesterday so I made him come back with me to the Fenwick Island place last night and have a good quality dinner and try to get rested until he got up this morning. He did both.
His boys are there now so it was my cue to go home.
Don't cry because they are gone...smile because they were here. My thoughts with you and the family.

I always chuckle when i see Scorpions lumped in with Warrant, or Bang Tango...

The Scorps in those days had that dark european style production, and to me they always sounded dangerous compared to something like Priest. Much more edge and color on the Scorpions guitar tone , at least to my ear. It sounded like they worked hours and hours tweaking their guitar rigs to get a sound that not only no one else had , but they made sure it couldnt be copied.

Hey guys, Glad to be back. My brothers wife...

Glad to meet you Engineer I’m new around here!

Sorry about all the grief and circumstances in your family as of late. I can only imagine the rollercoaster of feelings everyone is going through.

Sending positive vibes and feelings your direction as your family heals and grows through this process.

Hopefully the tunes in the thread will keep a smile on your face.

Well stated. Makes sense to me.
I love the Schenker stuff, even with UFO, but i think Uli Roth had a big hand in that dark and mysterious tone...
The live version of Burn the Sky on the 2x Japan album is case in point for me.
PS: the Scorps show I caught here a few years ago is still etched as one of my favorite shows i’ve seen and heard.
