A mix I put together (80 good cuts in there):
This mix is sort of hard to characterize, as alot of new and old things were in the developmental stages. Other, previously popular genres were passing out of favor. Electronics became more popular, and previously familiar ideas were being redefined. What we are talking about here is the music for those born in the gap: late boomers to early gen-X (mid-60s to early 70s). Essentially what we are looking for is the iconic music and forms from the late 70s through the 80s. The range is broad, but the tuneage is good, so...off we go.

I have the SX-636 that @painttoad fixed up for me. It is a sweet sounding receiver. Never giving it up!Bought another SX-535 , going to get my feet wet doing some component replacement on these simpler models before I get into my SX-1050 that has an issue.
May end up giving the SX-535's to my granddaughters when their finished up. Missed out on a SX-939 5 hours away ,working , decent looking $100
This is good low end equipment for me to try some repair / restoration and component replacement on.
