What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

The Warning at the Pol'and'Rock festival 2024 their first time visiting Poland. a couple of days before they had performed at Waken open air festival in Germany. This concert is a little over an hour. That stage is crazy!
OK I have to ask...are you related or their manager?? Not to be a dick....but you do post them a bunch. And they are really good.

My town got 1.43 inches total in August.Less than half our usual monthly totals.
It’s been thunderstorms after thunderstorms in the capital area. We even got those same really bad storms that started in Michigan the other night. Saw you post about. 70mph wind gusts Schools closed in some MD and VA counties because of power outages on Friday. Mom was telling me some counties in VA still without power

Back lawn is a jungle. The money I had earmarked for back yard re-landscaping went to the new appliances so the eyesore will live another couple seasons at least. Seems like a quarter inch of rain every afternoon is a great formula for growing anything.

I'm in the middle of cleaning up the perimeter right now after three days of storms but,i have juice.A lot of my town doesn't.A guy at wotk who lives in the city was told by DTE there in no estimated restoration time for his area.I read the text they sent him. When you see the word devistating in a message you know you are in for it.
I need to make a Kroger run at some point and it will suck as far as i can tell none of the traffic lights are working.

Sorry to hear this man.

I recently went thru this too with grandfather passing but without an updated will. Amazing how a little bit of $ can turn family into unrecognizable greedy folk. Not like it was life changing $ but more the principals of fairness going out the window…

Seems like reading thru here it’s a common experience, so at least we’re in good company?

had an aunt talk my grandpa into changing his will to take all us grandkids out and leave it all to my uncle and my uncle had dimensia at the time so he wasn't even part of the conversation. i never did like her.

I guess the vinyl revival continues apace.

New ads I got served on IG (no affiliation or thoughts about the equipment, I just find it interesting there’s enough demand for console stereo aesthetic to be producing these). Probably easier to keep running than my 1959 console, natch…

Edit: they want $19,000 for the flagship model :rflmao: :rflmao: :rflmao:

I’ll have what they’re smoking please
$19K? They missed a trick. Call it vintage and they could double that.

Aunt and 2 living siblings (my dad and another brother had passed before grandad)- took all the $ and didn’t share with anyone.

Whatever - the worst part was they tried to unload debt on certain grandkids thru a convoluted life insurance thing. Basically gpa had taken out life insurance policies on us as kids without our knowledge and then borrowed against them but not repaid. He was a State Farm agent so I assume he meant to repay and just never got around to it, or what the circumstances were.

We called foul and the estate assumed it eventually after we made noise to State Farm, how could we be responsible for debt we never agreed to and never assumed the benefits or liabilities of? Anyway just goes to show what her idea of “fairness” was.
