Had no Internet or cable service all last night until 6 a.m. this morning. I listened to the ballgame on my Sangean portable shortwave receiver. It's the only thing I had that could pick up AM in the house.
That made me think. If the internet is down and you don't have a landline, can you still call 911 — if 4 G or 5 G is still working?

Morning Jim..yes there is. My oldest has the sickness, she said she has at least 12 different bags in her pantry! I am sacrilegious...I save my last bit of coffee to nuke it first thing in the morning while the new pot brews. DON'T TELL ANYONE!

I'd rather enjoy a couple of coffee "milkshakes" to start my day.
I found a dozen NOS (with original manufacturer's sticker) for about 40 bucks shipped off Epay.
2 glasses every morning with a commercial vape-juice recipe I bartered 2 gallons of vegetable glycerine for with a friend.
It's an 11 or 12 year old Peppermint Latte recipe, My friend's name brand for it was Christmas Morning. I call it Pépère Latte.
I've been making DIY e-juice since 2013. I traded for Upstomp's Hingham Hill Christmas Morning recipe in 2018 or so. It's the bestest.
Stinky Bum was a sticky buns recipe I used to make. I also made Banana Cream π at 3.14159265mg.

That Sicboy flavor was called MBYC (my ballz your chin) I don't know if it was accurate. LOL Sicboyz 4 sure. Gorilla Guts was pretty good but accurate? I dunno.

I have a new Audio Technica VM95ML stylus on the way. The best value microlinear option for me. It's going in my basement system, using the Lambo Technics 1200mk7
It was 1985 and wife and I were newly married, I had my first real job (actually same job I I have today), and in first house (rental). Here is our first “good” stereo system. I still use the cassette deck in my main rig and still have the CDP and TT (all Technics). Speakers were Bose 501 Series IV and were replaced when we bought our first house 10 years later and WAF over-ruled in favor of sub-sat system.
Plus, we thought we were uptown with that 19” color TV!
And that was my entire music collection in the bottom of the rack

I'm pretty sure Todd Carmichael got some Kopi Luwak (Civet Cat coffee) on his show Dangerous Grounds.
One of my favorite shows of all time.
He lost a couple of toes to frostbite getting his World Record for fastest unassisted time from the Antarctica coast to the South Pole.
That world record time is the numbers he has tattooed on one of his arms.
