I hear you brother people were pissed.I used to hit the gas station next to the airport all the time on the way in to work.I never got gas there because their prices were always high to screw over the out of towners returning their rental cars.I went in there on 9/12 and they had jacked their prices to over $8 bucks a gallon.I called them every name in the book and never set foot in there again.I had a short fuse in my younger days.

I was .... what do they call it.... indignant?? There were areas that we were told to stay out of....they had black flags flown at each end of the roads we were told to avoid. I road through them with a baseball bat right next to me on the seat. Dare me MF!! I was angry....very angry. I would have played Babe Ruth on their mellons if they even looked at me wrong. Eff you MF. I was very happy with the response especially by the Air Force those first few days. That was some great footage on the news
I was somewhat disappointed with the lack of patriotism at first. People started coming around eventually

My mom was working in Dearborn at the old Oakwood hospital and certain employees were celebrating.She just told me this story the other day.I never knew this.Anyway, my mother she said they went to their supervisors and bitched them out and told them they weren't going to work if this continued.So management gathered up all the happy people and shipped their asses home for the day.
Wow 9/11 .. It just hit me hard writing out a check. I can remember fishing out on the lake and I had that feeling something was wrong way wrong.
