Well my “stereo” is 2 quicksilver KT monos… so I guess it’s dual mono or mono lol
Went with the quicksilver, the space is super dusty because we’ve had the windows open the past few weeks as the weather has been fantastic. Need to break everything down and do a good cleaning.
Maybe tomorrow… it’s beer:30 right now.

i understand that **** happens and a pad is going to blow out here and there but some people should not solder.

oh boy. i used the same series vishay caps in my c65 and they have 10mm lead spacing. i used an adapter. i'm scared to see what they did.
soon as my full belly settles, i'm gonna go find out.

I recently found a bunch of vintage solder from the 60s and 70s that belonged to an old TV repair shop. Chem-e-con or something. I’ve had them for decades, ran out of a spool a few week ago and needed to find my stash of solder. We cleaned out the little ADU out back and I found them in a box from the move.

i'm looking online to try to track down these elna yellow/gold bi polar caps. i've never seen them. the only place that i can find pics of ebay/aliexpress/shopee and amazon.
that does not give me much confidence that they are real.
ffs. i was going to hopefully try to sell this unit cheap cheap but now i have to spend money on it because i can not knowingly and in good faith send **** like this out and i sure af don't want my name related to something like this.
and i have to wait until i put a mouser order in and i am going to have to order 4 more adapters and HOPE that i can still find the vishays that i used.
this bullspit just added $100 to the price
