I just replaced an OPPO laser that was $75. More than I paid for the player itself lol. If it didn’t sound so good I would have trashed it

i might end up back on ebay trying to find a single disc jvc that actually works. i normally dont buy broken cd players (except for sony jukeboxes with certain errors) but like i said, i wanted that remote.

it also came with another full featured remote for a cd player. not this cd player because it has no sensor

i'm bummed that i had an offer for $35 off a jvc tape deck that would match the silver stack but he wont reply to my message about a blemish on the faceplate. i'm just going to assume that it would not wipe away and he aint going to bother to tell me in hopes that i buy it without waiting for his reply.... that he has no intentions of sending.

i got too much money in this stack. money that i didnt need to spend. for me to go throwing gear in that is nicked up of scuffed up or whatever. i could buy the same tape deck for a third of the price but it has a scratch on the door. i'm being overly anal on the silver jvc stack.

That sucks, every once in a while you catch a break , they think alot of thier LD units.

Well, You’re trying too keep the cosmetic silver vibe and I certainly get that. A black piece in the middle of a silver stack is blasphemy
For instance, A power conditioner. Just throws the whole thing off IMO. As far as the scratch, You’d think you could just sand it out and polish it but unfortunately there’s a coating on those faceplates which I’m sure you know. I found out the hard way many years ago lol

the scratch i speak of is in the window and it looks deep. i have and can sand and polish scratches out of plastic but i just don't have the patience for it anymore.

I took Iowa....I think Michigan is just getting by...

I have to take Iowa but Iowa hasn't really been tested , Iowa State . . maybe a little but otherwise , we stomped Northern Iowa playing mostly second string halfway through the 3 rd qtr 50-0 total mismatch really.

Iowa has to get the running game going early.

Both teams are facing their first real challenge today , should make for a great game.

double checking the width on this series of jvc.

AI can't even get it straight that .25" is a 1/4" not an 1/8"....and this isthe tech that everyone is pushing for? it doesnt even know how to convert decimal to fraction ffs!

Oh plastic. My bad. The only plastic I’ve sanded is car headlight lenses to remove that sun damage. Same process I’m guessing
A few different grits of sand paper and then a polish with the drill

polish with the drill

no drill. i use a full size buffer. i think the one i still have was sold as a 7" grinder. i rebuilt it a few years ago. the torque on startup will twist your wrist
