Yesterday traveling to a get together.

Top three so far. Set List number 1, Performance was spot on. Fidelity of the recording was very good, but not as good as the Factory or Les Bains Douches

woke up with this burning my brain. had a look at the lift arm expecting to see a set screw in the side of the elevator to set the initial height. nope. there is a screw on top to hold it together.
looked at the service manual and saw that there were 2 springs inside so backed the screw out about a 1/2 turn and that raised the elevator about 1/16", still about a 1/16" from the lift arm when elevator is resting and stylus is on vinyl.
that little adjustment lifts the arm about an extra 1/8" . yay.
i don't know if it's enough to clear "houses of the holy' that album is ****ed up. wish i'd have noticed it before. way too late to return it.
just another of many letdowns of this turntable that was 'restored to factory conditions' .
all 4 feet were loose too. there's bare wire showing on the power cord. it's taped for now. will have to shorten it when i install cables.
when i install new cables i am going to have to take the time cut down a small screwdriver so i can tighten the headshell mount in the tonearm. need to get an eyeball on the lytics too. oh yeah, not enough adjustment up top for 45rpm so gotta adjust the course trimmer on the servo board.

Good Sunday morning Jim, AA, Toad and others.....first cup is tasting good....not sure what is on tap for today....I'm sure there will be something turning up. My BIL and his Mrs. are stopping by after lunch. I have the parts for the rest of the trans repair but not the time to put them in. I am sure he will have some jack leg get in there and screw it up because he can't wait. SMH. sooner or later I will not fix those problems.

id mentioned earlier that i thought i had a tube going microphonic. turns out reseating the tube lifter than the tube seems to have worked. glad about that. no more squealing during warmup. no noise period.

its sometimes hard to be patient, sometimes learning the hard way sticks. Again, not for me, but most people 
He is used to people "jumping" when he calls. Having $$$ gets you that way. I don't and he knows it. But he also knows I am the ONLY person that is there when he needs someone to be. Without fail.
