i'm mentally frazzled. great weekend. one of Darnold or Maye will end up being a SB winner? a most refreshingly unexpected season.

Interesting article written that's posted on The Athletic.

An appeasement to the masses (Steeler Nation) hire.

Local guy born & raised, coming home, yada yada yada.

Pretty quick decision made by ownership too as there were some interesting young candidates available who basically just got short shrift video interviews.

On another note, my has the Pro Bowl lost it's luster and credibility Shadeur Sanders really!!

Nobody plays hard at the Pro Bowl. Perfect for Shedeur.

It's flag football now. No contact.

Wasn't Rodgers instrumental in getting McCarthy run out of Green Bay? This pairing should be interesting.

The only part worth watching is the skills competition. That can be fun.

I thought Rodgers was gone

Rodgers is with the Steelers now. He and McCarthy will be together again.

if you had a HOF vote, would you have voted Bellichek on 1st ballot? (me=yes)

Certainly even though I am not a Pats fan. He deserves it, in my opinion, based on the level of success he had and how long it lasted. I don't know when he will be eligible but Brady is a first-rounder in my opinion as well.

let's FF a decade. Mahomes =1st ballot? (me = yes)
not too far off in the future.... Kelce? (me = still not locked in)
around the corner.... Gronkowski? (me = yes)

Hoping to see Washington make a much stronger showing, but the defense needs an almost total rebuild, and with not too many draft picks... I can see a middling season coming. If Jayden Daniels can stay consistently healthy, that could change for the better.

After Rivera and now with Quinn, I'm kind of sick of having so called defensive gurus in what is (largely, this season excepted) an offensive league. Especially defensive gurus who can't seem to pick or improve defensive talent or coach a top defense consistently!

Whoops - thought this was an early 2026 thread
