What Audio Brand That You Will Never Buy And Why?

I will not buy products from Bose & Beats & Audio Note(UK).
Bose & Beats (Not worth the money but not in never ever category)

However, I will never buy any of Audio Note(UK) products because they stole the name from Mr.Kondo, it's not fair for a guy who designed & build the Audio Note products from the ground, it is a shame that Kondo San did not pursue this in the British courts. He would have won easily.

I'm a fan of Mr.Kondo for his works and design philosophy, I'm just remembering him while 10th anniversary of his death approaching in January 8th.

I've noticed that such principled stances often crumble when the prices are lowered enough.
 
Any turntable made by Hanpin, regardless of whose brand name is on the plinth. I don't need high flutter, non-functional anti-skate, and dodgy arm bearings, all of which seem to be standard Hanpin features. The "Made in China" warning label is just one more reason for me to stay away.

I like to experiment, so nothing I can afford is off the table. That said, most everything I got was used and abused and brought back to life by my careful ministrations ... except for the stuff I blew up. :D

I CAN kill an entire category though. I wouldn't spend good money on a graphic EQ ... it's PEQ or BUST!
 
RCA. That was my dad's favorite brand. "Gotta buy American!" rabble rabble rabble. He bought me a TV for Christmas when I was about 10 that was the biggest piece of crap ever, within 6 months the power switch had failed and a couple years after that it started turning itself on and off randomly. Like, I could be sound asleep at 2 a.m. and be woken up by a blasting informercial for Ginsu knives or something.

Again when I was 13-14 and started really taking an interest in music, of course it had to be RCA, he wouldn't listen to me when I told him I wanted a Sony or Panasonic or basically anything else. Got me one of those three-piece mini-systems, the kind that's made all of plastic with a CD changer and dual tape deck. Again that lasted probably less than a year, the CD drawer takeup gears pretty much stripped themselves out and the tape player sounded like you were underwater.

At that point I did a little research and discovered that RCA stuff by that time was being made in France. I don't think he's bought anything RCA since, if the brand even still exists in any significance.
 
I wouldn't rule out any brand, even NAD & Bose, if the price was right and there was money was to be made, but on principle, I agree with Tinear, I would never buy a Hanpin- they have single handedly put mass produced turntable performance back 40+ years and established a new norm for the uneducated masses.
