Today I picked up a Pioneer pl400 turntable with extra headshell, discwasher brush/with fluid and 46 lps for $15. Turntable needs a little work but is in good physical condition and lp's are good to excellent condition. LP's include:

Funny you should ask . . .

On my weekly trip to the town dump I pulled a Realistic STA-52B out of the 'swap shop'. A little dirty, but it cleaned up real well and works perfectly (even most of the panel lamps). Definitely not the holy grail, but it's a decent little receiver.

Got an Expedit bookshelf for the LP's. Been watching CL for months, and the right one just fell in my lap. Ouch!
 
Got 3 John Lee Hooker records, 1 Mark Knopfler, and 1 Steely Dan Gaucho record. I also found a local tube guy and got some tubes for the FM multiplex section in my receiver. I'm hoping this will get FM stereo sounding proper. Today was a good day. :)

Hi all,

Well, nothing today but, the last two days in a row (Thursday & Friday)
I hit two different "Transfer Stations" and came away with a SONY CD player from each Station. One is a SONY five disc CDP-C50 changer which works (and sounds) surprisingly good! The other is a single play CDP-291 unit which also works well. Once cleaned up, both units looks nearly new! I love FREE!

Nothing today (Chicago's Air and Water show took precedent over audio), but two days ago I got a pair of DCM Time Frame 600s off of CL for $50. Yippee! All the drivers work and they sound really nice. I may hit the SA before it closes, so you never know...
 
Speaker day. AR-28s need re-foams, Fried Q3 need re-foams, Infinity RS 3001 or something like that need re-foams, and JBL HLS-810 don't need anything.

Found some albums by guys named Coltrane & Hartman, Getz, Rich, Armstrong, and a few others, but I'm not real familiar with them.
 
I saw a Realistic 8 track player today but I didn't pick it up, don't know what I would do with it. Also got a bunch of LPs today.
 
Got about 15 lps and passed on a Carver HR895 for $99 at a goodwill in Denver today.The Carver sure did look impressive for a A/v unit.Rack handles and remote but didn't have the extra cash for it.
 
Finally made it to the Salvation Army, and there were two silver faced cassette decks, a pair of decent marantz speakers that I have no room for, and the usual thrusters, broken DVD players and BPC. So I passed on it all...the cassette decks were nothing better that what I have and too expensive for what they were ($40).

So todays only audio score was at Radio Shack, where I bought a bunch of banana plugs to make speaker switching easier on me. And to be honest, this will probably make so many previous scores MUCH more enjoyable.
