What CD are you listening to? What CD Player?

Four Tet - Pause

on a Teac PD-D2410 I'm trying to sell on craigslist with some "Altec Lansing" indoor outdoor speakers that sound like poo.

For a change I'm listening to a Sansui CD-V350 player that Duffinator gave me. It's couple to my AU-DII and I'm listening to Fleetwood Mac - The Dance through my Grados.

Robben Ford "Soul On Ten"

Flim & the BB's - WOW. These are two of the BEST examples EVER of just what is capable on a Redbook CD recording. The dynamic range is "snap your head back" when the drums hit, and some of the lowest, most powerful bass I think I've ever heard in commercially released music. When you have Carver Sonic Holography set up perfectly, the imaging is a religious experience! On a well-setup system, these two are just incredible. I was floored when I listened to them last night. HIGHLY recommended.

The Realistic shares the same chipset as the Sony CDP-101. No oversampling (of course). Overall a very withdrawn sound, but nice detail and easy to listen to. DAC- Sony CX20017 Transport- Sony KSS 100A

I'm in the middle of voicing my entry for "The Puget Sound! DIY Speaker Contest" so I have been playing a lot of CDs. Some that I enjoyed were:

Enya, "Watermark" (Reprise)

Tsai Chin (no Title in English, sorry) She does have a beautiful voice.

Albenez-Freuhbeck De Burgos, Suite Espanola (FMI XR24 068)

Best Regards,
