What Do You Like on Your Pizza?

Anything but anchovies. I-love-pizza. From the pizzeria when I can get it, from the freezer when I can't. I like something different every time to keep things from getting boring.

We make out own most of the time- thin crust with a good dose of tomato sauce, MINIMAL cheese, sautéed mushrooms, fried or pickled onions, Kalamata olives, sun dried tomatoes, and sometimes artichokes. Just not too many of any one thing- it is easy to overdo it and make a bad tasting hash of it.

I like pepperoni, Italian sausage, onions, bell peppers, pineapple, and cashews. Any combination of any or all of these is fine with me.

Ham, bacon, and chicken are OK on BBQ pizza, but then it isn't really pizza since BBQ sauce isn't pizza sauce.

I like a generous amount of sauce on thin crust. Can't stand dry pizza with too much cheese. Sausage, peperoni, mushrooms, olives and mozzarella with a couple drops of habanero sauce on each slice.

This is the best one that I've ever had or made.

Crust is ~1/4" in thick. It's a quick crust recipe with imported 00 flour. Crispy on the bottom through to the middle.
Plenty of sauce. Slow simmerred.
Italian sausage well drained. Not greasy
Turkey pepperoni. Not greasy and crispy.
The mushrooms got a little too done. Tried to pre-cook them to get the right tenderness. Didn't have a charred flavor, so not bad.
Easy on the freshly grated mozarella and little grated parmesan. Not greasy.
Fresh onion, jalapeno, bell pepper, basil.

IME, Everything accepted, but I`ve been a thin crust pizza person for well over 20 yrs.

Thus allowing me to consume more slices, by not filling up on the thick breading crust.

Don`t do the cheese stuffed pizza crust either, though I love most all cheeses.

No experience with Turkey Peperoni, though, so can`t really commit on that, same with Turkey bacon.

Nice well appointed looking pie.

To each their own tastes.

A crust thinner than that, I call that cardboard style. About the thickness of a single wall box? I don't mind having it that thin, but I would run into other issues if it's loaded up on sauce and toppings like this.

The turkey is a game changer. No more soaking the grease up on paper towels in the microwave before they go on. I can only endorse the HEB brand so far, which unfortunately has almost no locations outside of Tx.

Thanks for the compliment and it's always good to hear from you.

While I've never had a pizza I didn't like, my favorite has to be...
Ham, pineapple, onion. A little bacon makes it even better.:D

Growing up in Detroit, the square deep dish was always preferred over a round.
That said, a good plain cheese round pizza can be heavenly.
I'm a Detroiter, too. I'm not a fan, though, of Buddy's. I think Jet's does a much better job.

But Detroit-style is not for me. Too many carbs. Sorry, but the calories don't melt away the way they useta.

I like thin crust NY-style.
