What glue works best for speaker cabinets

Tite-bond or Gorilla glue, which works best for glueing speaker cabinets together? Figure i will be using finish nails as well, but just want a good solid tight seal.

i use titebond.

gorilla glue expands so if you use it, be sure it is clamped tight.

Titebond is an excellent wood glue. Gorilla is a polyurethane glue that expands while curing, as already noted. That characteristic makes it a bit messy if you’re striving for a finished look. Titebond, on the other hand, wipes clean with a damp cloth. It’ll give you a tight seal assuming your mating surfaces are clean and true.

BTW, the finishing nails aren’t really gonna do anything except hold things together while the glue dries. The glue will be a stronger hold particularly if you clamp everything together.

Titebond or Elmer's Carpenter Glue. What you want is an aliphatic wood glue, it's yellow. You should also put 3/4" x 3/4" wood where the 2 pieces meet.

personally, i use a couple strategically placed brads to keep the pieces from moving while i get clamps on it.

Figure i will be using finish nails as well, but just want a good solid tight seal.

nails will not hold the pieces tight enough. screws will but they are such a hassle. they need pre drilled then still may split mdf if that is what you are using. hell, too many brads will even split mdf.

there is no substitute for clamps and you can never have too many clamps.

Be careful with Gorilla Glue. It "foams-up", making it appear to fill gaps. But that foam is about as strong as a potato chip. (Don't ask how I know.)

Curious if you are using butt or miters for the cases. Miter is neater, butt easier.
Another vote for tite-bond. I or II. It’s what is used in shops.
Robert’s, Elmer’s and Titebond are all pva types.

Titebond. Everything I build is either box-joint or dovetail.
