What new product would you like to see?

Ok, so be realistic here. What new McIntosh product would you love to see come to market. Here are a few ideas

A lighted McIntosh sign to fit into your McIntosh rack. Nothing fancy, just a display saying "McIntosh"

Headphones - someone mentioned this to me, I don't agree with it but I figured I would put it out there

A McIntosh Subwoofer with a nice blue meter on the front

so what else do you think you would like to see?

I have heard some rumors of a McIntosh MX-150 on here. Perhaps that is all they are is rumors. But I would LOVE to see a McIntosh HT processor that gives up little to nothing to other (not to be named) brands, but also gives me the 2 channel performance of a C220. Impossible say you? Wishful thinking say I.

But I do realize as well that McIntosh (C200, C2200, C2300, C500, C1000) has a HT passthrough as well, so perhaps all one needs in the HT processor that gives up nothing to other brands, which may be coming down the pipe now. But I am convinced some of you all know somthing you are not telling me.

A nationwide network of loanable shipping cartons that fit each model ever produced, accessible for those who need to ship something somewhere. Borrowed on the honor system.
With meters.

I would like to see a tube receiver or hybrid, or SS for that matter. something on the smaller footprint.

A c220 with a built in DAC with digital inputs so we could bypass both the balanced and unbalanced inputs from CDP and computers. Even my Yamaha has digital inputs on it.

I would like a upgraded Music Server that would: 1) be based on the MCD-500 (for DAC's and SACD capability) 2) have about 1TB storage. 3) Be able to download hi-rez source either directly or from the internet 4) allow you to save music bit for bit (not just lossless) 5) an optional good looking touch screen interface. 6) Cost less than a SooLoos unit.

I want it all.

As MS750 with MDA equivalent McIntosh DAC, USB and SATA ports for external disk space, no fans and with an open source software interface.

+1

Just what I was thinking... that an an integrated would make the perfect 2 box system.

McIntosh outboard active crossovers for McIntosh speakers designed to be used with them, allowing owners to bi and tri amp with McIntosh amps, the way it really is supposed to be! :thmbsp:

Bring back the wood cabinets.

I like Ryan's idea of a McIntosh sign, and I like 2uberollers C220 idea as well.

Lastly, I think an equalizer would be good - with a blue spectrum analyzer display.

I want a video server. With Escient coming out with video servers, I'm hoping McIntosh will not be far behind. It would be nice if the McIntosh version had a digital audio AES output so I can use the best connection to my MDA1000.
