What Polks are these?

Looks to be a Monitor 7C to me; but then again maybe a little too short/squat. Maybe its a 10 and it just looks small. The lack of a full-front grille makes them "new" (newer) Monitor Series; probably has the 'silver coil' dome tweeter.

Almost looks like a Monitor 4 (or so) based on how big that Polk logo is compared to the cabinet itself. Plus, it doesn't appear to be very tall. That particular Polk Audio emblem is about 3" wide, too. SO, on scale, that speaker is about 8 or 9" across. Maybe....

Yeah, that crossed my mind too. Did they make 4s with the 'partial' grille like that? I don't recall seeing a Monitor 4 family member like that, but then again I don't get out much.

Thanks for the replies, I thought they might be from the monitor line. I might be picking them up, if they guy ever contacts me back:gigglemad

They don't look like Polks at all to me. Too small to be 7's. I don't think they made 4's with a cabinet with a lip at the bottom like that, but I could be wrong.

Look like 7C's to me.

I don't think they're 5's, they're too wide for 5's.

I have 5's and they are only about 10 or so inches across, but they do look taller than the ones pictured.

Perhaps the scaling on the photo is off?

Yup "too wide for 5s". That would make a great album title.
The aspect ratio's wrong for 5s.

Monitor 4s is looking like a strong choice... if they're cheap enough, I'd adopt them (but then again, I am not the original poster and I have a somewhat nonlinear affection for the vintage Polk speakers).

Well it seems this may remain a mystery, I left a voice mail with no response. Oh well on to bigger and better things.
