Listen to it all the way through. Without a word spoken, parts of it can bring a tear to my eyes by its sheer beauty and utter virtuosity.

Heard a song on a PBS dancing show, took some time to get the title and artist, Eva and Autumn Leaves. Blew me away. Bought her Hits CD, most I've ever spent on one CD actually, worth it for sure. Nice video from ABC on youtube about her life too. Man, what could have been.
 
Susan Tedeschi "Just won't burn". Gives me the skin tingles. Gut wrenching soulful blues. Vastly prefer her solo work as opposed to her work with the Derek Trucks band. It's kind of like ketchup and ice cream. I really like both, just not together.

Not too many songs really connect. Don't get me wrong I can list dozens that I love even after hearing them 100s of times (Sympathy for the Devil anyone?). But they don't necessarily touch me.

Spent 1978-1981 in Traverse City, Michigan. What can I say...This song really brings back some good times. Beautiful part of the country. Like Gordon Lightfoot said, it's a sportsman's paradise.


Kenny Wayne Shepherd "Blue on Black"

I had to put my best buddy down in 1998 (1/2 Weimaraner 1/2 Black Lab, 90 lbs of muscle and love) when this song was very popular. Had a few dogs before him and after him, but he holds a special place. Probably because I had him from when I was 24 to 38 and we were unable to have kids. He got all that, and more.
