What to do w/ BB1704 pulls?

Not sure what I should do with 10 Burr Brown 1704 dac chips (and 5 filters) from a Yamaha RX-V1.

Is it possible to retrofit to a device that has a different chip set?

Any advice?

Not easily I would imagine. You could however build a very nice DAC from scratch using them if DIY is your thing. Alternatively just sell them on Ebay, looking at the sold listings the DACs go for about ~$70 a piece, I suppose it may depend on the grade of the chips you have. DF1704s are $20 or so. You should end up with some cash in your pocket you can use towards a decent modern DAC purchase.

I find it a little hard to believe they sell for the prices I see on sleazebay, since all I see is chinese repops/fakes. Not sure I can trust the sold listings

Considering the supply of these popular chips has shrunk down to nothing I don't find these prices all that unrealistic. The DF1704 are still available from trusted sources, you can get them from Mouser for $37.82 a pop.
