How about a new Schiit "SOL" turntable. Suppose to be a killer turntable for $800.

But then when someone comes over, you can tell them, " I got a new piece of Shiit gear" Still hard to believe that using that name would lead to them becoming successful. I like the looks of it though.
I would think the Sansui would be your only choice with its killer looks.

Same for buying shoes, cars, etc. You need to be attracted to the looks of it as you are going to live with it for quite some time. I was just trying to say something nice about it considering its name.I thought it was about performance. I try not to gauge turntables on looks... though it can be a tie breaker.
It is the inner 4th grader in all these old folks that think they are getting away with saying a bad word. It was chosen for that exact reason. Publicity good or bad is still putting the company name out there. Childish is what I think but the name is selling their gear.Still hard to believe that using that name would lead to them becoming successful.
