The last poll on this question went cold in 2016, with the majority of users at that time stating that the PC was their device of choice for visiting AK. Well, it's now 7 years later, and rather than simply bumping that thread, I figure it'd be great to have an updated take on who uses what to access AK. My guess is that the percentage of smartphone users has gone up, and it'll be interesting to compare the results of this new poll against the results of that long dormant thread.

So, which is it, Smartphone?, PC?, Other device? Cast you vote here and let's see which device is most prevalent :)

I've been using my twelve year old HP tower since new but recently purchased a Google Pixel 6A smart phone with a data plan. My previous phones were mainly used for talk/text only and I didn't realize what I was missing. The Pixel is quickly becoming my best friend as now I don't have to come into the house to use the PC especially when I am out working out in the yard or in the shop. And of course it has the HK app installed amongst many others for convenience.
 
IMac 27" Desktop.......a mid 2011 model
but now OS and other Apps do not update.
So I had to move on a few weeks ago to a 2019 MacBook Pro that is being used as well
Use it a lot for writing stuff as the DRAFTS App is quite helpful.
Still there are years and years of stuff on the desktop so.....in a state of flux.
 
Laptop. The tower is past device for me. I like the mobility to use on deck, or when traveling. Got a 15"er, but got along with the smaller screens before. But gifts are gifts.

For a while used the 8" tab...but not into the finger-using method. And the phone is just too restrictive in its small format.

Most used is a PC hooked up to a 55" screen 4K TV with a wireless keyboard/touchpad and the audio system...
Next would be one of a couple of laptops.
Sometimes a phone or an iPad, but not very often.
 
pc 99% of the time
laptop occasionally
phone only when i was in the hospital and it was most annoying. but that was the old forum software and no ad block as i wasnt really planning on being there so long.

I do essentially the same thing. I use a 55" 4K TV as well. The computer is a MSI Cubi 2. Works well for my requirements.

I use a mouse sort of device from a company named Pepper Jobs named W10 Gyro described as a smart media controller for Win10. I don't use Windows, but it works with Linux fine. It has a gryo in it that measures movement so it's not like a mouse that requires a flat surface. I also use a bluetooth keyboard from Logitech, but that controller is what I use most of the time. Surprisingly that controller has lasted four years. I use it constantly.
 
PC...my phone is rarely near my body and is used to communicate with very few people and fairly infrequently at that. I made a very deliberate decision years ago that I would not become Pavlov's Dog...this is in no way a judgement on how others use their phones. I am surely "the odd man out" in this regard.

I use my laptop. Recently started using a faster one that makes things so much nicer now.

I use it to bring up saved service manuals/schematics and to store pics of units I'm working on. I'll use it to search AK manufacturers forums when I need to find things related to a problem I may run into.

It's much handier than trying to find all of that simultaneously on a "smartphone".

I only use the "smartphone" for making calls, for the Maps app, and mostly for taking pics of gear I work on.
