Another PC person cell phone is an old cheap Android so mainly just text and call with it and take pictures. Main two desktops 1st gen Core i3 and other 2nd Gen Core i5 normally running MX Linux can go into Win7 when needed.

The core i3 in the workroom uses a 32" 1080p TV for a monitor. The i5 uses an old 19" HP LCD monitor.

I use a PC 95% of my time on the internet simply because it gives me way more control over the content. If a website is blitzed with banners, ads, videos or other content not relevant to whatever site I'm looking at, I simply make it go away; not so easy on a tablet or smartphone.

Desktop computer whenever possible, then laptop, and only phone if there's no other ready option.

For me, typing on a phone is a crock of s**t. Too many typos, too many times accidentally causing the phone to do something bizarre.

Give me an original 101 key keyboard. That's about the only thing I can type on fast enough, to not lose my train of thought before I can get it entered. I've actually had younger people who were almost afraid of how fast I can type on an old-style keyboard. I'm like a snail, on a phone, though. Maybe it will get better the more I type on the phone- but I've had quite a few years to get acclimatized to them, and it's still a struggle...

Regards,
Gordon.

I agree with Gordon about typing on a phone, but I do use mine for the bulk of the access, which is reading, not typing. I'm on my laptop now in the living room, but also have a desktop W11 HP I use for my listing work. It uses a 32" TV as a monitor and is hooked into my main system for streaming and ripping vinyl. I can also watch music videos on it using my main rig for audio, which is quite nice.

But it's tough to beat a phone for checking in when one is out and about or stuck waiting for whatever.
