What was the the last audio-related item you purchased?

A cheapie Chinese 31 channel equalizer, and two mikes to use for testing my system:
a minidsp UMIK-1 (omni) and an audio-technica ATR2500x-USB (cardioid). Oh yes ...
also $75 worth of cables to connect the EQ box which did not have RCA jacks.
These finally generated success in taming my room.

I didn't think I'd be able to buy I just kept spraying it down with diluted simple green, and it worked! Same with the inside.
+1 on Simple Green. BTW, Adams Polishes’ Interior Detailer spray is amazing for wiping down gear, safe for everything in a car interior, even leather, just no fabrics. Doesn’t streak on glass either. Takes the haze away from textured black paint case finishes. Works great on my cars too.

Simple Green or Formula 409 has worked for me. Nothing stronger, as strong detergents can further damage old, weak vinyl, veneer, and cloth surfaces.

Finally bought a set of Vessel JIS screwdrivers. Also got JIS hex bits. Resisted for years, but they really make a difference in not damaging screw heads and getting out the tight ones. AFAIK, all the classic Japanese receivers and amps used JIS screws. And never let me hear you call it a "JIS Phillips". The family is "crosspoint", of which JIS and Phillips are two varieties.

Same with Pozidriv, which are used in a lot of HP and Tek stuff - wish they were more readily available in US thread sizes, and the head is FAR better than Philips.

I learned long ago to use JIS screwdrivers. While weekly fixing my old Honda and Kawasaki dirt bikes, I'd booger the heck out of those cheap aluminum screws. I kept a pile of new screws around until the service guy at the dealer told me about JIS standard tools.

Yes, I've touched up the ends of regular Phillips and they can work well. Unless they don't, then the JIS shows its worth.
I had to "make" my own years ago as I didn't even know JIS screws were a thing ! All I knew was that I had to grind the tip off my old screwdrivers to make them work. Then along came the internet and the rapid availability of getting a set sent to you. I've looked around my local Lowes and Home Depot and not a single JIS screwdriver can be found.

I treated myself to a new set from a seller in Japan. I was buying some JDM parts anyway.

Vessel is good stuff.

My first thought was will Conrad protect the crosspoint name as much as one aker protected the third / in the proper spelling of the logo using the slash, a/d/s/. Then I looked for a list of crosspoint drivers and wiki did not have crosspoint but the Cross like Philips is one many Cruciform shaped drivers.

I’m not getting into that but will mention again that the Milwaukee Philips #2 bits grab many JIS screws very nicely and are readily available. Not for the very small JIS screws for sure.
