What was the the last audio-related item you purchased?

Yeah I think cassettes are still pretty cool.I listen to tapes once and a while but haven't made one in probably 10 years.
I just love the "analog" sound. Nowadays, it is just something special. ;) Speaking of cassettes... I just got several TDK SA-X (c90s) from Ebay. Those are probably my favorite outside of the Triad brand and Denon, which are hard to find. :D

Came across my starter mics, radio shack #33-3007(made by Shure, 99.95 each and each powered by a single AA). And Oade battery packs for my Tascam DA-P1 and Grace V2. Somewhere a Grace Designs Lunatec V2 mic pre/PS is floating around. I plan to try it out as a stereo pre and would not be surprised if it kicks my other pres to the curb. It also has a choice of 6dB and 12dB/octave high pass filters @50, 75, 100, and 125 Hz so could work well with smaller speakers.

If you're going for vintage cassettes everyone should have at least one MA-XG.

Currently @~$100 each on the auction site.
FWIW: I have one C-60.

Yeah TDK were always good and on sale a lot.I also liked Maxell's XL-II S. I have a few metals, they were expensive back then but now they are ridiculous.

I just bought a set of black chrome feet or the tube amp indecently built.
And a BIC H100ll 12" powered subwoofer. Both should be here by next week.

A pair of ADS L810s from that auction site. I'd been looking for a pair of L710 for years but with shipping, the price gets too high. These were a 20 minute drive away - sold; "as is, untested." The cabinets were scuffed and scratched and there was a lot of dust. However, the drivers were perfect, physically and electrically. I cleaned them up and put them in my office. They are more bass heavy than the 710s but have the same mid and tweeter. I have an active crossover and will do an 80 Hz with a steep slope to the rather large subwoofer. Eventually I will sand the cabinets and refinish with a nice flake shellac. Other than cleaning, all I have done is pull the woofers, take out the fiberglass and install Acoustastuff. They sound wonderful powered by my Carver receiver.

A set of Dahlquist DQ-10's (on Tuesday) and a set of JBL L100T3's (this morning). DQ-10's are dirty and will need some cleanup but all the drivers are in good shape. Been listening to the DQ-10's for a few days now and am very happy with the sound. Soundstage is great, I'm hearing differences in height, not just L to R. I'm going to put the time into these and get them looking as close to new as I can, been offered help by AKer's to get the most out of them.
