What was your first car?

What a bitchin looking minivan. Do you still have it?

I think mine was a '76 Pontiac Ventura, not sure of the year. Was a good runner but rusty. Had to route the exhaust from behind the rear wheel to out the back because the fumes were being sucked into the car where the rust opened some holes.

1962 Buick Skylark. 215 aluminum V8 with four on the floor and power windows, vinyl top... might have had vinyls for a top, can't remember. It did have a factory installed chrome Kleenex dispenser middle of lower dash, right where the tape player was installed. Never had a vinyls player though they were around. Fun car.

WHOA! Your first car was a Daulphine?

Was this in France or the US? I love 1950-60s rear-engine compact European cars.
SoCal. It was a hand-me-down from an older brother. Mine was a 1959, which I inhereted in 1964. I drove it stock for about a year then installed a Gordini racing engine, stripped it down a a bit and it would do wheelstands!

Got our old family hauler when I got my license at 16. A '65 Pontiac Catalina with stage 4 rust cancer and other issues. Drove it for a year and a half before it was finally laid to rest with 3 Dr. Pepper cans holding the exhaust together.
