Oh, it will start out like that. At some point during the construction, some of them will argue that having 1 on the North Pole and another 1 on the South Pole is best... cuz Stereo is better than mono.

Then, everyone will want to sit on/around the Equator... cuz that gives the best soundstage. Then they'll argue whether you should be standing and not sitting... cuz that puts the ear closer to the tweeter axis.

Wars will be fought til everyone is dead. I honestly don't see any kind of scenario where it ends different.

We do have a 600 DB limit, which is the loudest sound we can go before it destroys the world. Remember kids, decibels are exponential!

Exactly. In mid-1950s 65 dB, up to 15K and 0.3% W&F was considered good enough for a symphonic orchestra. Pretty much everything nowadays is hi-fi.

There are many types of "audiophiles"

here's my take on the types and their standings...

1% wants the most expensive gear to satisfy their egos
5% wants the most desirable gear to impress their friends
70% buys audio gear at "big box" stores because they like new stuff
10% buys gear second hand so they can brag about the fantastic deal they found
8% buys gear at estate sales and thrift stores so they can hoard and stack it in their homes and brag about the fantastic deal they found
5% is interested in audio gear because it is cool
1% interested in audio gear because it is the best way to spend quality time listening to the music they love

there may be other types and various combinations but, all combined, there would not be much of a change if "audiophiles" took over the world...

I had a very strange dream last night, related to audiophiles taking over the world. I don’t remember much, since it was a dream afterall, but I do remember that the world economy collapsed because we spent all the entire treasury on hifi. What do you guys think would happen

I think i'm the lower 5%. I've always found old audio gear super cool, along with the fact that good speakers simply stay good. My grandad has speakers from the 50's, and they still sing like angels. That fact has always impressed me to no end lol.
