What's in your Garage? AK Car Show!

Enjoying this bike more than I ever thought possible.

Honda Trail 70 I think.

I had a Honda QA-50 when I was in grade school. Quite possibly the ugliest mini-bike ever, but I was quite happy to have it (bought it, I think for $75, on lawn mowing money). They sell for around $4k now.

This is a random pic from the net -- not mine -- but mine was just as bad ass!! :):).

It's the "dumb things" that keep you young in my opinion! :)

The friend I bought the QA-50 from was selling it because he upgraded to a Chibi mini bike, which I guess are pretty rare now. I had an SL-70 after that, my brother and a friend had new XR-75's. The SL-70 was an enduro but did pretty well on the motocross track. I had a guy at the track who had brand new Yamaha TY-80 that he had just bought -- we swapped bikes for an hour or so and he wanted to trade me (his brand new bike for my years-old, bought used, SL-70). I wanted to trade also, even though the TY was a mini "trials" bike, I liked it a lot and as a 2-stroke it had a lot more power, and it was brand new! I think his parents put a stop on that because he changed his mind after he got home.

Some of the best times were had at the motocross track and in the woods when I was young. I wanted to race motocross, but I had to buy everything by myself and lawn mowing money and cooking in restaurant while in high school, I couldn't afford a competitive motocross bike (while also supporting an audio and budding car habit!).

A bad pic of my broken family, lol but that's what's in my garage. Yes, I like VAG products and their various water leaks and the continental is usually on the rug and the dixon outside.

Looove 944's!
Good eye! My first car. 86 turbo #231 in the US, no airbag (87 was world's first car with standard airbags I believe) and came with the optional 16" Fuchs and which I still kick myself for selling. Trans cooler but no LSD. Needs a head gasket and maybe a refresh of the original rod bearings. Will never sell it.

Our work truck for the farmette is finally on the way, it's been in storage at my sister's.

Low mileage (42k) survivor.

I just realized that I didn't update this. Got it a year later. B-I-L was dealing with some BS after selling his company, then he had so serious health issues, all is great.

But anyway it finally made it. It's been sitting in a climate controlled warehouse for 3 yrs. Before that it was used about once a month. Did a good safety inspection and lube while doing that. Fired right up but wouldn't idle for schiit. I got lazy and who knows when I would actually get a minute to rebuild the carb. Bought a eBay Zeinth Chinese clone, put it on, adjusted nothing, it fired right up and idled just about perfect.

Gorgeous! Nice to see something besides Fords and Chevys, although they are nice. Lotsa love for the 3/4 tons.
