What's Your Favorite ________?

This one by Buddy Rich, of course. He was unmatched for power, speed, precision and finnesse, AND he always did it while wearing either a full suit or a turtleneck sweater. Not only that, but he could do more with a standard drum set than most drummers could ever dream of doing with dozens of pieces. Even Neil Peart said Buddy was the best. That's good enough for me (I concur as well)...

Either John Coltrane on Gold Coast or Michael Brecker on Billy Cobham's Heather. Beyond technical proficiency, just two haunting and evocative tenor solos.

Favorite jazz piano solo, acoustic?
 
I'd have to say a photo-finish between July and August... the heat; love it, long as I don't have to work in!

Chevy or Ford?
 
May have done this before, but it's a good one ... '67 Chevelle SS 396 L78 hardtop in Bolero Red with Parchment bucket interior and matching vinyl top. Must have Muncie 4-speed (not sure if I want wide or close ratio. Depends on the rear gears ...), correct 4-piston PDB (first year they were offered) and correct "small hat" rally wheels along with F-41 suspension including rear sway bar.

Whew!

Favorite Japanese sports car?
 
Canada goose! Contrary to popular belief, these birds are NOT called Canadian geese and they are NOT native to Canada. Canada is the last name of the man who discovered them and they are native to America. One time, my ex-wife, sons and I were leaving a Wendy's in NJ with our fries. A bunch of Canada geese gathered around us and we gave them the fries. Very cool birds!
