What's your favorite TV show themes from the past?

Perry Mason? Is that the show that used "Town Without Pity"?

Personally, I'd have to give "Scooby Doo, Where Are You?" a shoutout.
 
I remember being embarrassed to finally learn the theme from "The Lone Ranger" was really the William Tell Overture. Was I the last to know?
Not many TV theme tunes more iconic for my generation.
 
just remembered the one i was forgetting, a cbc show called "seeing things". anyone remember this show/theme.

Yes, it was. Donald Pleasance.
Also in many (if not all) of the Halloween movies, as well as Lucas' very first film. It was a student film that made a minor hit: THX-1138.
 
How about the music from A Man From U.N.C.L.E

Also there was a show on years ago - that I think Secret Agent Man was the theme to -

Man am I old.

Also liked the Hawaii Five O theme song.
 
The "Bonanza" mention reminds me of "Rawhide", "Wild Wild West", and "The Big Valley". How about the 1966 CBS Saturday morning show "Super 6"! And don't forget the catchy themes to Magilla Gorilla, Touche Turtle, Wally Gator, Lippy the Lion, and all their pals!
 
The original Dr. Who theme was pretty good. Going back and listening on that theme site, I'm reminded of how much the X-files theme resembles it (speaking of coldplay lawsuits :D).
