What's your favourite small speaker next to your computer?

@eric 1234567
I've seen the Martin Logan Motion advertised and have wondered about those. Cannot listen to them as no-one brings them into the country (after all we have only 5 million people here so you end up with only the most common stuff what generally means either cr@p or the overhyped stuff).
Can you give a short synopsis of what you like and don't like in them? Are voices lifelike, what about small essembles and what about orchestra and imaging? Thanks!

Hands down it's my Monsoon Planar Media 9 2.1 system. As much as I like Minimus 7, the Monsoons sound good even at low volumes. Plus incredible airiness and imaging, despite crappy placement. And having a surprisingly decent tiny sub tucked away on the back of the desk helps too.

JBL Control 1 Plus here, driven by a Sony TA-F110 'Super Legato Linear' integrated. I'm using an Apple Airport Express as my DAC at the moment with Airfoil converting the Windows media stream to an Airplay stream.

This is home while I can't go in to the office. Tunes provided by an OriGen DAC into a Denon POA-8200 driving KEF 101 speakers

Currently using Def Tech SM45's, with a Klipsh sub. When using my laptop in the shed, I use EPI 100's through my Luxman R117. The Luxman gets swapped out from time to time.

At my office, I use Audioengine 2s with their tilt-back stands. Great sound.

At home, I sit on the sofa with my laptop in front of the big system. But given that I'm locked out of my office for the foreseeable future, I may set something up at home. Candidates are Role Audio Sampan FTLs or Mirage OMD-5s

JBL LSR305 - they are just about unbeatable for the money. I tried a lot of small speakers and an amp on my desk for decades, then these came along. The clarity is amazing and the bass is so strong you'll swear there is a sub in the room.

I use a pair of JBL L20t augmented with a Parts Express SUB-1000L 10" powered sub under the couch in my office. The L20's were very hot in the high end, especially being near field. I modded the crossovers to match the L20t3 - the updated version - and they sound fantastic. I use this rig to edit video so having something balanced and clear is critical.

My computer has become the center for my main audio system. It is connected to a Cambridge Audio cxa80 integrated dac-amplifier, which has two sets of ADS speakers, the L880 and L980.

I use silverline minuet with a focal cub 2 as my desktop setup. Sounds very nice with the denon integrated I’m using for it.
