Wild Early 70s Hard Rock

moses - changes (denmark)

stepson - same

Two good hardrocks with banal, dull, treestump-stoopit "girlfriend" lyrics.

.......

I do NOT see Blue Phantom-Distortions as being hard/heavy rock at all. Its instrumental psych-exploito comparable to Ugly Custard .

One of my favorite albums "Look At Yourself" by Uriah Heep. Surprised no one has mentioned this early "heavy metal" band!
Here is the studio version of the opening track:

And a live at Budokan version:

The last track on side 1 "July Morning" is a sonic masterpiece in headphones.
"Love machine" really rocks.

Heep had their moments, I saw/heard them live a few times b/w 1973-1976. Lotta guys @ those days claimed they loved everything about 'em 'cept vocalist Dave Byron, but I like Byron, whose "lazy tremolo" vocal style was, IMO, perfect for such numbers as "July Morning" (as you've already cited), "The Wizard", and a lotta other numbers b'sides.

Let's hear "The Wizard", eh? This one is a "partially canned" (synced) "live" rendition, probably ToTP circa '72, where Byron & Hensley vocals are likely "real", as is (maybe) Hensley's acoustic geetar, but pretty sure Box @ Gibson SG lead geetar chores is syncing all that way. But hey:
