Wire-to-PCB connector. Which one?

Hi all,

I've been struggling with the task of "wrapping" a wire around a pin (jumper) on the PCB. You know, when you decide to replace a small bulb (lamp).
It never gets firm enough, so it can become loose and bad things can happen inside the equipment.

I thought about using some sort of end connector that could be crimped to the wire, but not sure which one should I use. There are so many specs out there and I'm a totally noob. :)

Any help is very appreciated.

That ain't welding. welding is melting the metals together into one piece. That orange thing won't get hot enough to do that but it will get hot enough so you don't want to touch any part except the orange part. That bit of kit looks like it would metal a new metal and coat the other pieces of wire and post on the OPs unit. Might work if that spool of metal there will stick to the other parts.
 
I don't plan to solder the lamp wire to the PCB PIN (jumper).
The wire is currently wrapped around the PIN in a way that I find too difficult to re-do with bare hands.
I've seen around that some people crimple a sort of female PIN to the wire, and that's the bit I'm looking for.
It's pretty hard to explain when you don't have the knowledge and proper names for the components.
If it was about software development...
 
it wont be far off something like this ..attach the wire and push onto the pin .. shrink
wrap it first or use a plastic cover that it is made for ..

i have a tool that does this, i picked it up at a surplus shop for a couple bucks....i can't find it but it was a RS branded thing and it's real simple, like a screwdriver with a hollow tube at the end instead of a bit, and a catch to hold the wire, then you twist it and it wraps the wire around the post. pretty sure if you google "wire wrap tool" you'll soon find one

That's what I was talking about. Will check if I can get some at a local Maplin.

I've searched for it and found some in the RS website. I might get one if I plan to do this kind of job more often.
