Because I am the original cheap bastard. Also, I have no need for a sub, and it was priced outside of my comfort zone to try and flip to the other tight wad yankees near me.
I am currently on vacation and my concerns are more in line with vacation type things, like refinishing a floor.

Agreed though, dealing with the swamp Yankees is tough.
I am "only 52". I have been dealing with swap meets, fleas and yard sales my whole life. Parents use to set up at Brimfield when I was a kid. Weekend fun consisted of driving to yardsales and flea markets. Been around the block and back again. I tend to only buy what I perceive as a current need or outstanding deal. Can't use a sub right now, hence the post.
